BC Wheelchair Sports would like to congratulate the athletes who have been selected to receive AAP this year. AAP funding is given to high-performance athletes to offset costs associated with training and competition.

2016 Australia Summer Down Under Wheelchair Racing Monday 18 – Wednesday 27 January 2016

The Summer Down Under Wheelchair Road Racing Series is the highest profile wheelchair sporting event in Australia. The Series has grown from a road single race to two international competitions, road and track events, and attracts the finest wheelchair athletes from across the globe.

The 2016 GIO Summer Down Under Series will feature the following:  

Canberra International Track Meet – 2 evenings of racing at the Australian Institute of Sport Track on Wednesday 20 & Thursday 21 January from 5:30pm. LIVE Results

Sydney Twilight Track Meet – Twilight racing at Blacktown International Sportspark Athletics Centre on Sunday 24 January from 5.00pm.

Nathan will be racing the in following events: 

100m, 200m,400m and 800m

Congratulations on Winning BC Athletics Male Athlete With a Disability of the Year Award!

Nathan has won the BC Athletics Male Athlete with a Disability of the Year award. Nathan has achieved a personal best in nearly every event this year. Last month, he competed at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships in Qatar.

Nathan is also BCWCS success story for this year: read about his amazing journey here.
